Mondays don't suck anymore

At least not for a few more weeks. We started the day in our usual fashion of cuddling in bed while she wakes herself up. Grunting and stretching for about ten minutes is her way of welcoming the new day. Once she was up, I changed her booty, fed her and had Steve get her dressed while I took a shower.
Now we were really ready for the new day, so we headed out to brunch (since it was almost 11). We went to this cute diner on Main St called Kay's Kitchen. Sofie got lots of attention there because she's the cutest baby in the world :o) The special needs lady who is a regular there really loved Sofie. She was very hard to understand, but I was able to pick out that she loved her small baby hands. She blew a kiss to Sofie as she was leaving the diner. Very sweet.

Today was also Sofie's first trip out to Seal Beach.

I think she had fun.

It was pretty chilly, but I was wearing her so she was super snuggly. We walked down the pier to the Ruby's at the end. Steve and I shared a pumpkin shake while Sofie enjoyed another meal herself.

The weather has been beautiful today. Sunny and chilly. Perfect.

Now we're just hanging at home. We're about to give our girl a bath and all get into our jammies. Steve will be building a nice warm fire for his girls. Sofie really enjoys staring into them just like her parents.

Love.

Sofie's 1st Disney experience

I was having a touch of cabin fever so I wanted to get out and about last week. Thursday we decided to go to downtown Disney for lunch. It was a beautiful day. We decided to eat at the House of Blues.

Mainly because we could eat outside in the beautiful sun and keep our stroller with us. We're not used to leaving personal items laying around without us near by. I know we'll have to get used to it if we ever want to take Sofie on an actual ride at Disneyland, but Thursday wasn't going to be the test drive. Anyhoo, Sofie did really good until right before our food got there. I didn't want her to start crying hard so I got her out of the stroller and held her. I thought I could just eat with her on my chest like I'm used to, but the burger that I had ordered was the biggest mess ever. I didn't want my sweet daughter covered in burger juice. Steve ended up eating super fast so he could hold her while I eat. At least I had sweet potato fries to hold me over till I got my hands on that yummy burger. Plus, Sofie didn't seem to mind the couple fry crumbs that landed on her head. Small consequences to wanting to be held by her momma all the time, I guess.

After lunch we traveled over to Build-A-Bear. We picked out a super soft pink Dinosaur for Sofie. Hopefully she'll like it when she gets a bit older. We walked around downtown Disney for a little bit longer then decided to go into Disneyland. We only have a couple more weeks left on our passes and wanted to take Sofie in before they expired. Luckily it wasn't very busy since it was in the middle of the day in the middle of the week.

We only stayed in Disneyland for a couple hours, but it was fun walking around with our daughter. I can't wait till they get their tree up so we can take a family picture in front of it. Till then the one that's up in Toon Town will do.

Here's Sofie and her daddy in front of the cute tree.

This is the duo earlier...

What crazy town puts a baby in jail! Luckily, she slept right through the ordeal. :)

So, in a nutshell that was Sofie's first Disneyland experience. Next time we'll have her meet some of the characters and maybe brave the carousel. I think there's a bench we could sit on instead of a horse. I'll have to look at it again to be sure.

Gotta run, she's up!
